Melissa Starr Goebel - Hamm, resident of Florence, Kentucky was born on July 5, 1954 in Covington, Kentucky. The beloved daughter of Harry Goebel and Janet Durr. At an early age Melissa accepted Christ in her life as her Lord and Savior. She was education in the Covington School Systems.

Melissa was employed for many years by Lift Truck Company as a customer service representative. Melissa was a devoted and caring mother of two children, Christopher and Andrea. She was a member of the Cincinnati Human Society of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Melissa had a special bond for her dogs which were her companions and best friends. She loved listening to country music and passion for antiques. Melissa devotion was to her family which she loved dearly. She was a believer in strong family values as a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend. In her spare time Melissa loved to be in her home and cook for those she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Harry Goebel and Janet Durr.
We have heard it said, "It is not the length of life that matters , not how long we live but how well we live...."

On Tuesday, September 4, 2012, 10:40 pm surrounded by those Melissa loved with all her heart, her devoted child and family she departed this life peacefully at her home. Melissa, "Well Done Faithful Servant of God, you have fought the good fight, had strength and courage, kept the faith, and now laid up for you is the crown of righteousness.

As we close the final chapter in the book of life, let us remember the life and legacy of Melissa Starr Hamm.

She leave to cherish many fond memories; Devoted children, Christopher D. Hamm of Covington, Ky and Andrea (Todd) Razor of Florence, Ky; Two brothers, Terry Goebel of Florence, Ky, Jim (Mary Joe) Goebel of Elsmere, Ky; One sister, Jennie (Tom) Day of Maineville, OH; Nephew, Phillip; Nieces, Allison, Sarah, Katie and Ashlieigh; Great-Uncle, Uncle "Al" (Ethel). A host of other relatives and many dear friends

Melissa Starr Hamm will be truly missed but always and forever alive in our hearts.
