Socks Alldaffer was born on January 19, 1995 and left us on July 19, 2008 at the age of 13.

Socks Alldaffer will be greatly missed but always alive in our hearts.

It doesn't seem like 13 years since you and I first met
It seems like only yesterday I chose you for my pet.
Big brown eyes and floppy ears that nearly dragged the floor
A little ball of energy that everyone adored.

I watched you run, I watched you play, I watched as you grew up
and, although you grew in size, you acted like a pup.
"Toy" and "cookie" were two words that always could excite
and bring about a wagging tail and barking with delight.

The puppy that I came to love was still there til the end
through every second of your life you were my devoted friend.
And just last night you wagged your tail and gave the "cookie" bark
then today I watched you lose the battle and it broke my heart.

My precious baby boy... my friend, my pet, my son
you fought a courageous battle, but the cancer finally won.
Now at last there's no more pain, and no more need to fight
I know that you're in heaven and someday we'll reunite.
